Two weeks ago, my neighbor saw me working on the van in my (boyhood) driveway, and he stopped to chat. When I was growing up, he was the crazy guy in town who took 100-mile bike rides and climbed peaks out west with weird names... I hadn't seen him in 15 years, but over those years I had grown crazy and fallen in love with 100-mile rides and peaks with weird names. When I bought this van in February, my friends @gowestycampers told me it would become the Great Equalizer in my life... that whoever I met, no matter who they were or what they thought, the van would find their soft spot... it would bring people together. So many times that wisdom has proven true, and here we are again... my old neighbor jumped on board... a man with 5 grandchildren currently piloting Donnie into the sunset, while I chill on the sofa 'til my next pull. This means only one thing, we're back on the Road headed West to things we don't know.
