For all of you who have owned a VW Camper before, relive the dream, bring it all back; with this, very well cared for, classic 1984 VW Vanagon Westfalia, Full Camper, in excellent condition. It is ready for warm weather camping and travelling.
Go see the grand kids, just stay in the families driveway, no motels, no imposing. (What the heck, maybe the family started in a 60-70s camper anyway, it's ironic.)
Engine, clutch and Standard 4 Speed Transmission are in excellent mechanical condition, with a long life ahead. Great for daily use and of course long, extended travel camping. Comes with surfboard rack as shown. Great set of light, truck tires. (If you need an automatic transmission model there is exactly the same year, color, condition and price full Westy also available. These two are like twins except for the transmissions. It would be hard to tell the difference from the photos, just come take a look at the one with the transmission you prefer.)
Beautiful light brown on brown interior in very nice condition. Interior needs to be seen in person to appreciate. Beautiful southwest pattern bright blue curtains against the Van's orange/brown patina is striking.

If this vehicle can last 29 years and be in as good a condition as it presently is, lasting another 29 is not out of the question. And the reason for the preservation is that inch for inch these are the best designed campers ever. They handle and are more agile than any other camper. In the US we cannot get anything like this, (so we treat these the way Cubans treat their American cars.)
Large folder full of local maintenance records going back many years. No deferred maintenance. Engine is strong and gets up hills nicely.

Wide, long upper berth can sleep three small children or two adults. Rear seat folds out into a bed, and can sleep one or two adults. Two VW swivel tables with bars add to interior convertibility. 360 degree driver and passenger swivel seats with armrests. Roof vent. Stove, faucet and refrigerator working. Interior is in beautiful condition. Great set of light truck tires. All VW Owner's Manuals, Bentley Factory/Repair Manual most post 2000 Maintenance/Repair records. Comes with all accessories as when new.

Every Vanagon I sell must pass the strict California Smog Test regulations for a heavily populated, urban area, requiring the following; a thorough visual inspection as to all systems being original and/or equal to the factory equipment, tailpipe emission analysis and overall fume leakage testing: ( a note here, if a replacement catalytic converter has been installed, the smog inspection will check the model # against the approved State of Calif. list of catalytic converters. A 49 state CC for a Vanagon is $100. A Calif. approved CC is $500.) Any variation will fail testing or require State Referee's approval. Any of the vehicle's systems associated with Smog testing analysis must be in excellent working order to pass these tests. As a buyer; the State of Calif. Smog approval, is the first line of assurance you will have, that the vehicle is in top condition. No matter where the location the vehicle is sold to, the above will take place again, to help assure the vehicle is in top condition.
At this same time the shop that is doing the Smog testing and repairs it will continue to perform a detailed and thorough safety and reliability inspection of the entire vehicle. Any repairs or replacements these expert mechanics, with over thirty years of experience, find needed, at that time, will be repaired, including wear only items, like tires, wipers, fluids etc. You can talk directly to the mechanic's at anytime, see all the reports and final receipts for the work done.
(Due to the very small size of the refrigerator, limiting its value, difficulty and high cost to repair, even if it were possible to get it fully operating on propane, car battery and/or outside electric line, alternatives are recommended, which we can provide.)
Once your commitment to purchase the vehicle is formally made, the above will take place immediately thereafter, requiring no more than five working days. By doing it in this way and not beforehand, you can be assured in real time and under your scrutiny, that your purchase is being brought up to a high level of mechanical reliability as practically possible. Any broken mechanical item affecting the vehicle's reliability will be fixed.

Square inch for square inch, these VW Vanagon Westfalia Full Campers have the very best interior design for a Camper ever, bar none. The best handling camper ever made. The all-around best on the road, travel/touring/camper, ever made. Go anywhere, just drive, sleep and eat. Don't ever pay for a campsite, pull the curtains, park it anywhere. Interstate highway rest areas, truck stops, behind Denny's, Walmart, wherever you stop, camp. Take a nap, get up and drive some more, just go on and on.
Lastly a lot of car people are into those great old America classic cars, many of us had one when we were young. It would be great to restore or just buy one and get back into that great old car again. That's great, but what do you have? An expensive knick-knack to take out for a spin around town on Sunday.
But with these classic campers that are still exactly as great inside as the day they were new, the world still awaits them, exactly like it was forty years ago, when Americans first feel in love with them. These baby campers are still babies, ready to go camping at a moments notice. Think about that! Like a great vacation cabin, but on wheels.
