Today was a bittersweet day. We bid farewell to sweet bessie. She came to us as an answer to prayer, and showed us the hand of God can and does work behind the scenes, even when circumstances tell you otherwise. She was virtually *gifted* to us in a time of need. It was the perfect gift at the perfect time. She was old and on her last leg but we tended to her with a constant stream of nickles and dimes (ok more like 100's to thousands over the course of the last 8 years) but she was just as good to us as we were to her. We passed her on to our oldest, and she was there for him in more ways then I can go into here. But this car is very special. Today we decided to donate her to a very very worthy cause. It didn't seem right selling her for profit. She has existed to serve and give. I know I'm sounding a bit cray cray at this point, but truth of it is, my sweet bessie is a symbol of a loving and giving God. He provided for us thru this car. My faith was renewed thinking of how His hand works in our lives. I will miss this veedub so much. We all will. And I pray that God multiplies her worth beyond anything imaginable. #godisgood #vw #vanagon #iwillmissyoubess
