So I think I've found the reason my ac system still isn't working properly in my vanagon. Apparently this is the compressor relay located in the D Pillar. The tabs are all loose and seem to be broke on the inside. After a but of research I've been given some great advice from other vanagon owners so now I know how to get a similar relay and modify it to work in my application. Headed to the store today to buy a replacement that I can modify. Can't wait to see if this fixes my ac issues.
