I think what makes these old Volkswagen vans so addicting is the uncertainty... you're probably gonna get there but you may not. And that tiny bit of questioning turns them from a mere machine into a relationship. You think about how you're treating them, you talk to them, you watch their gauges, you listen to their sounds, you smell their smells... you actually drive them. Today, Donnie and I set off on the most remote road we've ever seen, the Cassiar Highway to the Alaska Highway. We're not expecting Internet for the next 1,000 miles, so we'll see ya in Alaska!
