San Francisco: 1986 Volkswagen Vanagon Westfalia -- full camper (santa rosa) $14800

This is one of the better looking and running VW vans that you will see. This van has a new 2.1 liter engine and a new transmission (automatic transmission, 2-wheel drive). The van has ~281,000 miles on the body and ~32,000 miles on the new engine. The interior is in very good condition for its age. The body is straight, has no rust, and has a relatively new dark brown paint job. Everything is in good working order, except the refrigerator is difficult to start in gas (propane) mode. The sink and stove work well and pop top/canvas is in very good condition. A fifth extra seat is included. We have receipts and an Excel spreadsheet detailing all work done on the van since 2002, including over $15K of upgrades that were done by the previous owner, whom we purchased the van from in February 2011 while we lived in the Seattle area. The title is clear and the vehicle registration is good until August. We love this van but are selling because we no longer have the opportunity to go camping as much as we used to.
Recent upgrades:
Auxiliary battery system (2nd battery for all accessories when camping to eliminate drain on starting battery)
Stereo system with bluetooth audio streaming, hands-free phone, and 4 new speakers
LED bright interior light kit
High-powered headlights
Cosmetic (most are new): Bra for front grill, floormats, skylight, tinted windows, side mirrors, sink tubing, tire chains

Recent work done:
New 2.1L engine
New transmission
New waterpump
New belts
New rear heater core
Seal around entire top
Transmission service, fluid and screen cleaning
Radiator and coolant hoses to rear
Power steering hoses
Brake master cylinder
Alternator
