Having a hi-top is, in our opinion, THE way to go with a vanagon. However, it does present some problems. For example, unless you go with an Adventurewagen top, you probably won't have any roof racks to mount things to. Sure, some folks have fabricated some pretty ingenious solutions but we prefer the look of the top sans racks. So we discussed with Joel at Green Mountain Syncro how we could mount our beloved road shower – which really comes in handy quite often – without roof racks.
